An Associate in General Studies is a great way to get started on your college career. Whether you’re looking for affordable classes, need a flexible schedule, or you haven’t picked a concentration or major and want to transfer to a university, Barton is a great option.

Our degree is available in-person or completely online, and classes are offered in 4-, 9- and 17-week sessions via BARTonline.org.

Curriculum

Barton Community College's general studies curriculum is designed to provide a solid foundation of core general education subjects like communications, math and science, humanities, and social sciences.

To earn your Associate in General Studies, you’ll need a total of 64 credit hours, which includes core classes plus electives.
