Barton Community College will host student recitals at 4:30 p.m. April 2, 16, and 30 in the Dorothy Moses Morrison Chapel in the Fine Arts Building. The recitals are free and open to the public.

The Barton Music Department will present a choral concert alongside the Central Kansas Community Choir, and the Hutchinson Community College Choir for two performances of Gabriel Faure’s “Requiem Mass,” at 7:30 p.m. April 4 in the Fine Arts Auditorium on the Barton Campus and again on April 6 at 2 p.m. at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church in Hutchinson.

Being an active-duty member of the military equates to a hectic lifestyle, and oftentimes, soldiers are so preoccupied with their daily tasks and training that getting a college education is the last thing on their minds, but even with his schedule full of military obligations, Isaias Hernandez graduated with his associate degree from Barton Community College at Fort Riley in December.
