Barton students pursuing careers in the sciences, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and Nursing will have access to a high-tech, “Anatomage Table,” a fully segmented and realistic 3D anatomy system.
Life Sciences Instructor Dr. Oleg Ravitskiy said the table will teach students about human anatomy in a revolutionary way.

Students who graduate from a nursing program are required to take an exam to receive their nursing license through the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX). The class of 2020 broke the already impressive previous records with a 100-percent pass rate for both the Registered Nurse (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) exams.

Barton’s Information services team is working to organize our institution with the tools and technology improvements needed to be able to serve students successfully, simplify enrollment and provide support remotely. This task requires some scheduled maintenance. Banner, Paws, and Degreeworks will be impacted.

Barton Community College’s Center for Adult Education will soon begin another nine-week GED Preparation Class. Orientation classes are required and are the first step to obtaining the Kansas State High School Diploma through the GED Prep Program.

The Shafer Art Gallery will host a virtual introduction for a pair of exhibits, “Exquisite Miniatures,” by Rachelle and Wes Siegrist and “Transmogrifications,” by Brian Hutchinson from 6:30 – 7 p.m., July 9 via facebook.com/shafergallery. The exhibits will run through August 22. Admission is free.
